The emerging mobile computing and ubiquitous networking technologies enable users to access fully broadband mobile applications and new services anytime and everywhere. The continuous efforts have been dedicated to research and development in this wide area including wireless mobile networks, ad-hoc and senor networks, smart user devices and advanced sensor devices, mobile and ubiquitous computing platforms, and new applications and services including location-based, context-aware, or social networking services. ICMU2012 is aimed at providing a forum to researchers, industrial experts, and students for discussion and collaboration in this hot research area.
Authors are invited to submit papers presenting research and development related to mobile computing and ubiquitous networking. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the followings: - Network architectures, applications, and service models - MAC and routing protocols - Resource and mobility managements - QoS issues - Security issues - Performance evaluation - Wireless and mobile communications - Broadcast communications - Software defined radio - Cognitive radio - Heterogeneous networks - Cellular networks, WiFi, and WiMax - Ad hoc, sensor, and mesh networks - Peer-to-peer communications - Vehicle communications - Internetworking - Location-based services - Data managements
Some selected papers from the proceedings will be recommended to submit to the IPSJ Journal. The best paper award with prize money will be given to the most reputable paper.
