Paper submission deadline extension: May 11th, 2012

ReCoSoC is an informal workshop aiming to encourage technical and scientific exchanges between senior academics, young researchers and industrialists in the area of reconfigurable and communication-centric systems-on-chip.

In 2012, ReCoSoC will be held at the historic city of York, United Kingdom. Workshop sessions will be held at the newly inaugurated Heslington East campus of the University of York.

Topics of interest for regular papers:

  • Reconfigurable and adaptive embedded SoCs
  • Multiprocessor embedded systems
  • On-chip communication architectures
  • Communication-centric design techniques
  • Partial, dynamic and self reconfiguration techniques
  • Specification languages and environments
  • Verification and evaluation techniques
  • Low power design of reconfigurable and multiprocessor SoCs
  • OS and middleware for reconfigurable and multiprocessor SoCs
  • New paradigms for reconfigurable and communication-centric computing

ReCoSoC 2012 will also feature five Special Sessions that will run throughout the workshop. These Special Sessions have the purpose of introducing the ReCoSoC community to relevant hot topics:

  • SS EU projects related to reconfigurable technology Dimitrios Soudris, National Techical University of Athens, GR

  • SS Low Power Reconfigurable and Communication-centric SoCs Alberto Garcia Ortiz, University of Bremen, DE Vasileios Chouliaras; University of Loughborough, UK

  • SS Reconfigurable Computing Education Pascal Benoit, LIRMM, FR Lilian Bossuet, University of Saint Etienne, FR

  • SS Real-Time NoCs Leandro Indrusiak, University of York, UK Neil Audsley, University of York, UK

  • SS Self-adaptable and autonomic systems Marco Santambrogio, Politecnico di Milano, IT Martina Maggio, Lund Center for Control of Complex Engineering Systems, Lund, Sweden

All accepted papers (both regular and special sessions) will be published in IEEE Xplore. Authors of the best regular papers will be invited to submit an extended version to a special issue of ACM Transactions on Reconfigurable Technology and Systems.

Two special sessions will also invite best papers to submit an extended version of their contribution to a prestigious journal: - Best papers of special session on Reconfigurable Computing in Education (RCE) will be invite to submit an extended version of their contribution in IEEE Transactions on Education (IEEE ToE) - Best papers of special session on Real-time Networks-on-Chip will be invited to submit an extended version of their contribution in a special issue of the International Journal of Embedded and Real-Time Communication Systems (IJERTCS).

Important dates:

Paper submission deadline extension: May 11th, 2012 Notification of acceptance: June 5th, 2012 Final version deadline: June 19th, 2012
