Iwan Adhicandra received a B.Eng. degree in telecommunication engineering from Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia. He also completed an MSc programme in data communications at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and a post-MSc programme in wireless systems at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He had been a researcher in the Centre for Mobile Communications Research (C4MCR) at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, the Computer Communications Research Group at Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and in the Connectivity Systems and Networks (COSINE) Group at Philips Research Europe in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In October 2007 he joined the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Pisa, Italy. He is a member of the IEEE, the ACM, the IET, and the BCS.
