He received the MS degree in engineering from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology(NAIST), Japan, in 2002 and the PhD degree from the Graduate School of engineering, Chubu University, Japan in 2011. He has been working in OMRON Corporation since 2002. His current research interests include object detection, object tracking, human activity understanding, and pattern recognition. He is a member of the IEEE and IEICE.
