The paper presents a survey of the most important modeling methods used in the solid object representation, especially the parametric representation with three-dimensional curves. The main purpose of the paper is to highlight the aspects regarding the application of the modeling techniques in the biomecanics of the osteo-articular system. The objective is to design prosthetic apparatus based on models.
